I've written a post answering Psych Post Doc's question, however it sounds very depressing, likely because I'm not very happy in my job right now. I will read it again soon and see if I can't cheer it up some.

- I have a Ph.D. in Geology, which was on groundwater contamination. It took me five years of living on the East Coast and one year in the Midwest. Now I'm back on the West Coast (near the beach!) and have a job with a small consulting firm of around 30 employees. This job is 1 mile from my house. Let's see how I like consulting!
